Surreal, unusual and bold, these narrative patterns are quirky moments spring out of my dreams and desires. With legwear being the first canvas on RI’s print journey.

Originated in East London, each prints tells their own stories– often of an East and West mix - whether it is a secret oriental garden, an origami vase or a geisha riding on the mythical unicorn.

All crafted, drawn, and collaged by the designer itsef,the prints enhance your body shape with a slimming effect, constructed by high quality body-snugging and breathable fabrics that offer an urban ease.

Our spiritual rhapsodic journey further evolves in the form of skirts, dresses and limited edition items.

SS13 Tribes of the Future

SS13-'TRIBES OF THE FUTURE' is a continuation of our FW12 legwear series 'When Nature Reigns'. The nature-inspired prints are presented in the form of dresses, skirts and tight pants made from dri-fit, breathable fabric, patented by 3M as the 3M Scotchgard fabric.
This is the first attempt of RI.by.CARRIE in incorporating performance fabric into its narrative fashion series, with prints continue to give the wearers a streamlined look.
An additional feature is a hand-pleated origami bird collar – a continuation of our Eastern influences and love for 3D forms
We have researched over 100 types to find out specific ones that pleat perfectly into a bird and hold the shape well. Every piece of collar is folded by hand and stitched at the RI studio
