Relic (from Late Latin reliquĭae, sacred relic)

.-Some object associated with the past; a memento, kept and reverenced as a memorial.

.- An item of special personal value because itbelonged to a loved one in the past.

In 1957, Juan Jareño founded a small upholstery workshop specialising in leather work. Fifty years later in 2011, Héctor Jareño –Juan’s son– inherited this tremendous artisan legacy and gave it continuity by introducing the production of leather goods. Héctor Jareño presented his first collection of bags in Madrid in October 2012. Since then the brand has consolidated as one of the leaders in Spanish luxury leather goods.

His collections revolve around modern Spanish art and design and his designs are the result of studying functionality and technique, approaching modernism with scrupulous respect to tradition.

The company inaugurated its new studio/workshop in August 2015, which has enabled it to develop its designs following artisan production methods. Today, Reliquiae has a presence in 22 countries around the world.

TIME IS PRECIOUS
Nothing gives more value to an object that the absolute dedication of one craftsman; one professional who endeavours to achieve perfection on its trade.

Time is beyond doubt the key: to shape up, to learn, to improve whatever you are up to. Promptness fades away over time. It is the passing of time what gives an object its supreme value. Time is relentless. It is decisive; it decides what endures.

Our bags, wool pieces and accessories are produced one by one. Our handmade process respect traditional techniques and several decades of experience. Craftsmen’s experience is something irreplaceable. It is what makes our items perfect and timeless pieces of art.
