'Red' is the color of intensity, extreme passion and love. Ghagra' is a 'Sanskrit' word meaning "a long full skirt," often decorated with embroidery, mirrors, and/or bells. It is the most splendid possession of any traditional Indian women.

RedGhagra is a women luxury apparel brand, rooted in craftsmanship. It is my heart felt emotion, which is an amalgamation of my New Yorker spirit & Indian heritage. As a devoted yogi, I deeply admire organic processes, translating into the manufacturing of the RedGhagra designs and pieces. Thus, I consider Indian textile & metal crafts superbly unique for that purpose, since the techniques are completely natural. The craftsmen are outstandingly refined in their skills of fine, artistic work and by relying on their expertise, I create hand spun/organic fabrics, which are then decorated or embellished, based on a particular muse or channels of inspiration.

Our collections are rich with luxurious handwoven textiles made from locally grown silk and cotton, with emphasis on century-old artisanal details such as hand embroidery and hand carved wood block printing.
The collection is conceived in New York and realized in collaboration with local artisans and crafts people, to create a refined wardrobe for an empowered woman who is not afraid to stand out. Folded in every seam and every stitch is the story of each unique piece; each of which is inspired by our women and made with love from crafts that have been passed from generation to generation for centuries.
