in 2019 rafael completed his ba in fashion design (Bac+3) at the university of lisbon and started an internship with the designer constança entrudo between 2018 and 2019, later that year rafael became part of the team as an assistant designer.
in october 2020 the ss21 collection "you still there?" is selected to be presented at the young designers contest at lisbon fashion week, being then shortlisted to the final where fw21/22 "the third box to your left" was presented online and awarded with lisbonfashionweek prize.

THE THIRD BOX TO YOUR LEFT

Where spaces are filled up with useless objects, stored life experiences that someone decided to stack up. This act translate physically to the objects and with time end up transforming it into one another, deformed.

These objects could be compared to us. Also stacked up in our own emotions and facing extreme individuality as a necessity, when a true act of evolution is sharing with one another. This collection idealizes this conflict between not giving free will to our emotions, containing them, and the basic necessity to connect with others.
