At Rachat, we attempt to bring together handloom, organic, interestingly textured fabrics with unusual, beautiful embellishments. The core that we identify with is mainstreaming the magnificent, Made in India, handloom textile in a way that we change the target group of this industry from the classes to the masses. The story of Rachat begins with the curating of these inspiring textiles, adding a little twist to them and making them irresistible to the young audience of today.

What if our very own Nalanda University wouldn’t have had it’s tragic history of being destroyed by various rulers time and again? We would have had our own Ivy League here in India, today! We are the birthplace of formal academic education, India the home of the mighty Vedas but politics happened to us!

Rethinking this very scenario, reimagining Nalanda University and Vedic Education in a preppy Ivy League set up of contemporary 2017 is the basis of our Spring Summer ‘17 collection.

Preppy, geek chic silhouettes with a hint of ancient Indian drapes, embroideries inspired by the architecture of Nalanda University with details of tiny alphabets in Hindi and English is the quintessential Indian Education inspired collection that is a prerequisite in today’s India to learn, to inspire and to build a much required bridge between the rich Vedic heritage of India and Generation Z.
