The concept for my collection explains about the Hardships of Women in India. Gender Equality is a major issue that runs around the world at this point in time. Where many countries are bringing a change towards it many are still far away from the idea. Let’s just take India to be the one for instance. I want my collection to portray the strength and ability of women to everything they believe in life. The collection doesn't show how women or men can be more powerful against each other but shows how everybody in this world is ONE. The collection's main idea is to reflect that women and men in this world are the same with no discriminations because of the society. Women's are suffered at workplaces with low pay or considering low strength or being qualified in a stream because of being a non-equal ant gender as men. I want to change the mindset of people with my garments to prove that women are as equal as men and can bare the same amount of strength, stress and work pressure be it any field. India is considered to be a spiritual place for all the people and the belief they have for the deities is just amazing to see. They worship from the bottom of the heart be it a God or a Goddess. But when it comes to the respect of the women on the other side, these things are considered of no word in India.
I aim at making the garments for the above concept to change the mindset people have for women and let the women know that we can stand for each other without protesting. Just a message for the women to realize their worth and come out as an individual or as the goddess we pray. She is the Durga, Kali, and Sarasvati, nobody can make her think she is not just because of these rituals in the country. I aim the tribe that stands up for themselves and motivate others to do the same. People who believe in clothing directly proving a point in life standing for the rights and freely experimenting different ideas of thought into the garments. Much Love :)
