“For me, fashion has never been only a piece of garment. What we wear; determines who we are, what we’re experiencing and what we’re standing for. The magic of imagination and design is to be able to create your individual identity and express yourself freely. I’m here to tell a story. I’m here to ask a question.”

Pouran Parvizi is an Iranian fashion designer based in Vienna. She is a senior student at University of Applied Arts Vienna studying fashion design under direction of Grace Wales Bonner, Lucie and Luke Meier (creative directors of Jil Sander) and Hussein Chalayan.
Based on multiple references and researches and inspired by people, their stories, culture, art, history and literature; her collections address social norms, gender, race and political issues.

Her work is a sociopolitical as well spatial response to everything surrounding her. By exploring social and political landscapes, race and identity; and through a signature sense of femininity, she tries to illustrate a "modern romantic" human with a focus on shapes, print and textile.
