Poplin and Co

Growing up in Iran, I wasn’t free to wear whatever I wanted to. I was limited in terms of style, color and prints. I was always in love with color and bold prints but the only time I could really express myself was at home. Moving to Canada changed everything. Suddenly I was free to wear whatever I wanted to and take advantage of the diversity in women's clothing. However, I noticed that most men in North America weren't taking advantage of their freedom to express themselves and opted to be safe and blend in instead. The more I observed this the more I noticed that the problem wasn't that men didn't want to be fun, colorful, bold, and expressive but that there just weren't that many affordable good quality options out there. The freedom to express one's self was reserved for men who could afford luxury or couture brands. But where did that leave the rest?

Just like Iran's government set a dress code that forbade me to express myself, I found that men in North America were limited by less obvious rules set by the industry I fell in love with.

I wanted to provide that same freedom for men and address this problem in the market by creating Poplin & Co which specialized in quality 100% cotton, printed shirts that were not only stylish but affordable as well. Since our launch in Spring of 2018 our clothes have allowed men to dress in a sophisticated way while expressing their love for color and print. Since that launch we’ve had great response to the line! Men are in love with our prints and also like being complimented more on their sense of style.
