AD Jewellery is London based jewellery and accessories designer with a graduate degree in MA Fashion Artefact at London College of Fashion.
She works with a vast variety of materials such as wood, base and fine metals, leather, Perspex, resin and stones and uses innovative technologies such as rapid prototyping, CNC and laser cutting. Artistically, Alexandra tends to gravitate towards clean, architectural designs, yet always offsets this simplicity with a touch of colour, playfulness and opulence. The juxtaposition of rigid, geometric forms and organic, fluid shapes is a central concern of her work, and is articulated through her collections.

BINARY states

BINARY STATES is represented by wearable pieces and accessories which can rapidly shift from one state to another, from ‘on’ to ‘off’, from 0 to 1, depending on the mood of the wearer. The dual nature of these artefacts is reflected in the pairing of two seemingly dissonant styles of design, one cloaking the other. As such, the piece’s external form offers no hints of its inner life; the jewellery and accessories presented act as a kind of Pandora’s box. The two design aesthetics used to represent the halves of this binary are Art Deco architecture and traditional Russian Folk craft. Each piece has a built in element which allows the jewellery to change its form.
