Paria Farzaneh’s collection is influenced a lot by her iranian hertitage and her surroundings in South East London. “Urban/roadman culture” is a magnatised reference in the collection. She was heavily inspired by the documentary photo book “don’t call me urban” by Simon Wheatley, who shot ten years of grime culture in London. Using strong references of Iranian colour and fabric, she interprets this into each garment. The enormity of her collection translates into the media’s and public’s perception of what they think of the Middle East. Overexaggerated modern menswear shapes to directly send a political message.
