Alexandra Moldovan (Romania 1989) studies Fashion
Design at IED Madrid, and gains experience during several design internships in Berlin. Her childhood in Romania among families of artisans gives
her a particular vision of respect for resources and raw materials.
The playful and self-taught spirit motivates the artist to contemplate reality from different points of view and cross borders. In 2015 the PARALLEL DIMENSIONS project (Madrid) is envisaged as a laboratory for experimentation and collaboration between creative, artisan and scientific
sources. Its main objective, with special attention to textiles, is to explore our relationship with waste, and rescue it for
deconstruction and transformation.
PARALLEL DIMENSIONS ́ biophilia translates into reinvented second-hand garments, Zero Waste pattern research, ceremonial costumes, performance, sculptures and many other formats yet to be explored.
