Palazzo vii

My name is Ana LUISA Vidal, I will start by quickly describing my fashion path until the present, following my brand ''palazzo vii''.

I graduated in Fashion Design in Portugal, right after I started an internship at an Award Winning portuguese womenswear fashion company called Lanidor ( who owns the brand Globe (www.globe.pt), Quebramar and Casa Batalha) , where I experienced all of the design departments (from womenswear, knitwear, jerseys, kidswear and accessories).

After this enriching experience I decided to apply to the Fashion Folio Course at Central Saint Martins, to build a portfolio that would allow me to get a place for a Masters in Fashion Design in Milan. I have completed the one year course , designing a print and embroidery collection as my final project.

Following that I flew to Milan,italy and completed my Masters in fashion design at Domus Academy University, and that is where my first contact with high fashion started.

One of my teachers, Liborio Capizzi, invited me to start an internship at his own High Fashion House called DiLiborio in Milan, where I interned for almost a year. mr. Liborio was the head designer for Mr. Gianfranco Ferré for 20 years.

I have worked with delicate garments, from silks to leathers, crystals and organza. In fact it is something I truly enjoy, the detail , care and dedication put into such a precious garment. I find fascinating how the passionate way of concieving a garment increases its value.

The passion for Haute Couture comes from my grandmother, she was a bridal embroiderer, I grew up going through her old books of different stitches and the magic of the working process.
Working in fashion gives me a warm feeling and adrenaline, I have sensitivity for detail, colours, textures and how to take care of a delicate fabric. I am very hardworking, commited and responsible.

I HAVE STARTED MY BRAND A YEAR a go, essentially inspired by the precious time i spent studying and working in milan. the brand is named ''palazzo vii''. Palazzo VII is a high end quality brand focused on creating pieces that present a sophisticated design and prioritize comfort. Each piece is hand crafted sustainably in Portugal.

The name "Palazzo" was inspired by the concept of a maison, a place where everything is familiar and handcrafted carefully with a purpose. The roman numeric representation of 7 is linked to the charismatic simbolic value of the number itself: beauty, truth and emotion.

The material sources are Portugal, Spain and Italy, prioritizing great quality in leather, suedes and silks. the shape of every product is tested to have an amazing fit and feel. quality, comfort and sophistication are the 3 top goals. creatively the pieces are timeless, effortless, wearable and have a vintage bejewelled touch.
