In a Fast Fashion society where throwing away clothes is becoming normality, reusing what is broken can be a plus for a better fashion industry. Researching clothes in Zara and H&M and realizing that a huge amount of broken clothes are on SALE. This means that the consumer will most likely wear it just a few times and it will throw it away. Seeing this made me very frustrated and I had to ask myself: Why broken garmets are on sales? Why do clothes break so fast? Why fast fashion is still happing and consumers BELIEVE it's safe? In a world where consumers are only hungry for new clothes, people have forgotten how to TRULY love and take care of their products. Fast fashion HAS broken any emotions when wearing or buying a garment. For my final collection at London College of Fahion my project 'After Broken Follows More..' explores how to reuse broken fabrics and REUSE it for new designs. Where damaged fashion can be healed. My final COLLECTION is made of recyled, deadstock, and fabric offcuts creating HANDMADE smocking details.
