Olyinka, which means “wealth surrounds me”, was launched in December 2009 by founder and designer Audrey Aiyela-Kuklewski. The ex-accountant was inspired to create her own vintage-inspired intimate apparel label because of an ongoing love affair with fashion, which grew and led to Olyinka Lingerie launching its very first collection at the 2009 East London Design Show . The Burlesque inspired Lee Lee Collection was the catalyst for the launch of the Olyinka brand. It emphasised modern designs with its roots vintage aesthetic, evoking soft, sultry sexuality and embracing womanly pride and playfulness.
All pieces are constructed from luxurious fabrics including the finest silks, organic cottons and chiffons using a palette of soft, feminine shades: ivory, peach, and beige, with attention to detail creating an ideal garment for any woman’s boudoir.
Audrey, founder and designer said, “I wanted to launch the brand with lingerie because it is my personal passion. I wanted each garment to be special, sexy, exciting and chic, worn to entertain, to have fun in, and to have an element of ‘Je ne sais quoi’. Every piece in all our collections will have you smiling and asking for more.”
Since launching Audrey has moved on to do some exciting collaborations with Benefit cosmetics and also the Duke of Essex Polo club.
"My mission is not only to create a intimate apparael label, but a lifestyle – clothes, lingerie, accessories, books, bags, perfume and more – the sky is the limit! So watch this space! ♥
