Obrigon

Created by the fashion designer Ludmila Obrigon, the brand values ​​manual and authorial work, having arisen in the city of São Paulo in 2020, as a result of the artist’s graduation collection the previous year at Faculdade Santa Marcelina.

Obrigon draws from the Surrealist and Expressionist movements, working the sense of Unheimlich, the uncanny, through textile manipulations with organic aspects and upcycling experimentation, sometimes with excessive, scribbled and detailed hand painting.

The label questions the beauty and aesthetic standards of fashion and explores asymmetrical silhouettes in exaggerated pieces, taking the circus, clubbing and alien worlds as references. Deepening into the non human universe, figures commonly considered monsters or freaks.
