Ngalala Yaba

Ngalala Yaba is a ready-to-wear design label created in 2015 by Afonso Jr and Stacy Leoture. The label brings together the historical and contemporary values of different Afro cultures, creating awareness through various ready-to-wear and design projects by exploring the traditional resources and know-how of their people with a conceptual vision. The timeless classic lines of western dress are transformed and boundaries pushed back with daring volumes. The patterns, ornaments and techniques present in Afro culture being reinterpreted.
