The collection inspired by the perception a blind man has of his self and of space and silhouette. Based on the stories of two blind gentlemen at the RNIB.
Through cut the collection will demonstrate and simulate a world where the relationship between shape and touch, space, memory and knowledge are experienced in an altered process.
Existence of the human form, with the absence of sight of self, are demonstrated with the transition away from the conventional human structure.
Expanding on the concept of space in relationship to the human body, garments plan to explore the set silhouette of the dressed human form. With experimentation and exploration into occupancies of positive and negative space. Garments will challenge the concept of space.
