Naoise Jo, 22 years old, was born in Dublin, Ireland. She graduated with a First Class honours degree in Fashion Design from Griffith College Dublin, Ireland in 2018. She was recently awarded "Student of The Year" and was awarded internships at Avoca and Primark. She was a finalist in the Irish Fashion Innovation Awards 2018 and the UCD designer 2018 competition.

MINE HERITAGE

‘MINE HERITAGE’ is an eclectic womenswear collection that was inspired by the designer`s fond childhood memories of her Grandfather`s storytellings of his days working in the Manchester coal mines. This collection draws inspiration from her Grandfathers own true stories, (his worker number 663 can be seen as a prominent print feature) as well as miners clothing from Victorian times and the strong female Pit Brow Lass who worked above the gound. Each piece has artistc elements such as digital print on plush velvet, industrial apron styling or Victorian frill embellishment to create a unique visual mix of heritage in a modern form.
