NAEVE is an anglicized form of the Old Irish spelling Naimh (Irish pronunciation {Ni:of}, with two syllables), an Irish Language Feminine given name meaning "Bright or "Radiant".
In Irish mythology, Niamh (of the Golden Hair) was a goddess, the daughter of the god of the sea and one of the queens of Tir na nOg, the land of eternal youth.

Designer Anna Tobin believes in the richness of simplicity and the value of quality handcrafted pieces made of precious metals. Inspired by Celtic mythology, Nordic minimalism and the rustic natural landscape of her Newfoundland roots, Anna seeks to inspire by creating jewelry that is both feminine and edgy.

As a child she had endless creative energy and as a teenager she often made her own jewelry. Anna rediscovered her passion for art and design in 2012 and started NAEVE jewelry. Anna studied at Ecole de Joallerie de Montreal in Quebec, Canada.
