My name is Nadia Kott. I studied my BA(hons) in fashion at Kingston University., where I gained experience working on briefs for many different fashion brands. I am keen to develop my skills in fashion especially within womenswear design. I particularly enjoy the use of CAD in my work and combining CAD with hand drawing.

Fashion has always been the one thing that has really sparked my interest. From dissecting the pages of the glossy magazines to designing my own collection, my interest and passion has never wavered. Despite setbacks along the way working in fashion has always been my lifelong goal.

Baroque Star

I was inspired by the decadence of Marie Antoinette but with the punk influences of Sophia Coppola's vision. It's not just the outfits they wore that inspired me but the way they also translated their own style to the rooms inside The Palace at Versailles, the over the top décor of the rooms covered wall to wall in prints and decoration. It's almost like a fantasy, like the fantasy world Marie Antoinette lived in. Three eras are combined to make my final collection, the fantasy and pageantry of Royalty in 18th century France mixed with the rougher edged rebellious punk fashions of the 70's with my own personal style from today.
