What sets us apart from the rest? The two most important pillars of our brand are our unique style and our dedication to the environment.
There’s a lot of bad news in the world right now. The last thing we want to do is contribute to the negativity and cause harm to the earth in any way. We believe in minimizing our footprint and we strive to do this in every way, from design and manufacturing to packing and shipping to ensure that everything is sustainably done to our standards.
It’s been a two-year process of development and research to get to where we are today as a small but mighty team in California and Italy. Our designers employ sustainable methods from the very start of conception and our factories operate on wind and solar power reducing energy waste. We work with small family-owned factories in Italy that have been in production for many generations and we support small suppliers to advocate local communities and help them to be self sustaining.
Each and every component of our product is sourced and manufactured in Italy, made with recyclable, renewable, and conscious materials, to remove any waste output in production, which means the highest standard of quality in every pair. Our frames are made with Mazzucchelli M49® Acetate, the highest quality bio plastic for eyewear. It’s developed from natural and renewable resources (such as extracted from cotton and cellulose). This results in super durable, strong and comfortable frames that cause a very low impact on the environment.
The design of our sunglasses was born after many years of researching and exploring the industry. In our hunt for what might set us apart, the styles that we learned we love, and ultimately, the missing piece, we created these frames that blend classic with contemporary. We pride ourselves in thinking outside the box. The intent of our sunglasses was finding a space where we could merge timeless styles with fresh details. The result of this most desirable combo is a small but mighty assortment of shades that hit the mark for wear-every-day, one-of-a-kind, style. We think the tone is avant-garde yet of close enough descent to the pairs you know and love that you can wear them anywhere, anytime (and we think that’s everywhere and all the time).
The collection was inspired by the retro years of our history. We wanted to combine our favorite design elements from each era, 60's, 70's, and 80's and create a fresh modern take on silhouettes and the architecture of our sunglasses.
