Complex and dynamic design for the modern woman, with a precise and clean geometric structural aesthetic. Monique combines traditional fine jewellery techniques with precision cutting technology creating jewellery with a constructivist fashionable edge.
Linear framing and geometric structures provide the foundation of Monique's inspiration, drawing upon the mathematical qualities of polyhedrons, her collection named ‘Polyhedra’ translates as ‘many-surfaces’ focusing on layering and repetition of angles and interlocking radial lines within octagons and triangles.
These themes have been translated into her new collection 'Hazael' released in summer 2014, in which Monique created a sharp series of jewellery. Blade like slices revolving around a central dome creating star shaped silhouettes.
Monique is now based in The Goldsmiths' Centre in London where she designs and produces her jewellery. Previous to this, Monique studied BA Hons Silversmithing, Goldsmithing & Jewellery at University for the Creative Arts, graduating in 2013.
