Katarzyna Dworecka - Cracow School of Art and Fashion Design graduate. Her "Sunny Side Up" graduate collection met with great enthusiasm and won media award and honorable mention for vision & creativity during Cracow Fashion Awards 18’. “It was refreshing to see a collection that is very joyous and fun, given we are all at risk of taking ourselves a little too seriously sometimes.” - said Meg Doyle from The Fashion Conversation describing the collection. Her designs have been published online on Vogue Italia, Harper's Bazaar Poland, Elle Poland, The Fashion Conversation, ARTS THREAD. Katarzyna Dworecka originally studied economics at Cracow University of Economics but her desire for creativity led her to Cracow School of Art and Fashion Design, where she learned to extend her limits thought experimentation. Katarzyna is based in Cracow. Her goal is to set up her own fashion brand „Mindless”, full of color and positive vibes.

Sunny Side Up

Sunny Side Up collection was inspired by my childhood. Through this collection, I wanted to convey all of my memories, reading books and fairy tales. Soft, scaled forms of clothes are supposed to wrap the figure and create a safe "cocoon". An important aspect of the collection is the original print that I made with the sublimation printing technique. It’s supposed to bring to mind children's scribbles. I also transformed fabric through the use of traditional Japanese shibori techniques in order to achieve three-dimensional, bubble wrap-like structure. I wanted the collection to be positive with playful accouterments and a little bit of humor and irony running throughout. I really love fun fashion and I wanted to reflect that in my collection. Through the accessories such as exaggerated colorful gloves, headbands with big bows, and mattress shape-like backpack I intend to create a dreamy, fluffy, fairy-tale atmosphere.
