Meloni Mitchell is an artist, designer and model. She was born in the Nevada desert and grew up around the world. She studied Fine Arts and Fashion Design at Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angeles and graduated in 2005 with a BFA in Fine Arts. She started modeling after college and traveled around working in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Italy and Paris. Now she is living in Italy with her artist husband, Roberto Calbucci, and their newborn son, Skylar Rey in a small town called Montecarotto where she produces her jewelry and clothing line by hand in her home studio. All of her pieces are bespoke and made to order.

M.M. Jewelry

The M.M. jewelry collection is inspired by earth, ancient civilizations, nature, magic, ritual, protection, and the idea of timelessness -- this collection is rooted in time, and at the same time, defies it. The design is minimal and distressed to evoke the signs of time, creating a dynamic surface with empty holes that conjure missing stones. The metals used in the collection are sterling silver and bronze. Realized entirely by hand from beginning to end, the pieces are carved in wax, transformed into metal using the ancient practice of lost wax casting, and then cleaned, polished, oxidized, and stamped with the initials M.M. Each piece is cast only once and is original and one of a kind. With the mould being broken after each piece is cast -- there is no possibility of reproducing any piece twice.
