The designer's entire creative process is intricately woven with the symbolism found in paganism, a philosophy that serves as a powerful conduit to instil empowerment, self-love, and confidence in those who don the garments. Rooted in the belief that every facet of life carries profound meaning, the designer embraces the idea that, at times, one must accept or even encourage fate to facilitate the natural unfolding of events. This philosophy is seamlessly integrated into the design methodology, reflecting an openness to change and adaptation as scenarios and situations reveal themselves. Rather than adhering strictly to a preconceived vision, the designer fosters an environment where creativity can evolve organically, mirroring the dynamic nature of life itself.

Genesis III:V

Genesis III:V was a collection created in under three weeks by the designer.
Melissa-Kate was inspired by the fact her life had taken over from fashion in a series of events leading to showcasing at London Fashion week again for This is icon x jca.
In the bible genesis iii:v states “ for god knows when you eat from it your eyes will be opened and you will be like god, knowing good from evil.”
Melissa-Kate felt like this quote was so important to her life at the time, where at the age of 25 her frontal lobe was developing and her eyes were opening to many things going on around her. She related this to eve and what its like to be a feminine dealing with negative energies and trying to cocoon out into the world.
The collection was made by found fabrics using melissa-Kates signature design methods which is channelling fate.
