Matt Bruening was born and raised in the state of Hawaii, on the island of O'ahu. He is from a very, very, small 'country-like' town named Makaha. He started designing at the of 8, crafting make-shift clothing for his action figures. He later bettered his craft and considered a career in design in his late teens. Once he graduated, Matt continued his education and pursued his design endeavors at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in Apparel Product Design and Merchandising. He is now active in designing, already debuting 4 different collections. He is now in progress with a Summer/Spring collection for 2010.
