MAYHEM BY MUNTIK

Dyah Chairunnisa Muntik is a 23 year old designer and fashion projects maniac currently based in riot city Jakarta, Indonesia. Acting as Creative Director (Designer) and Owner, MAYHEM BY MUNTIK is her own jewelry line which incorporates both sustainable and non sustainable materials to create an eclectic look at its best. Been given the chance to show her work in an international forum, high end venue, fashion bazaars and even music video, as well as been featured in several leading fashion magazines, she's ready to take the hustling and bustling fashion industry by storm.

Enslaved by her flaring passion for fashion, this detail-obsessed-fashion-addict is always up for a challenge in taking part of various fashion projects, fashion bazaars, freelance jobs and fashion related design competitions. Shortly, she always had a wonderful time turning her hobbies (which include drawing, designing, fashion styling, visual merchandising, as well as creating graphic design & set displays for fashion photoshoots) into tangible money.

In 2008, she was one of the 9 finalists of Lomba Perancang Aksesori Femina Group 2008, a nationwide accessories design competition in search
of young upcoming designers in Indonesia. In which she got to
showcase her work at the Indonesia International Mode Festival / Jakarta Fashion Week 2008 held at the high end venue The Pacific Place Jakarta in a multimedia form along with the other 8 finalists.

Why MAYHEM? Well let’s just say she'd like to call herself an impulsive creator, meaning if you ask her in the process what would her piece look like in an hour time, she would most probably be just as clueless, as she's simply let her hands run free along with her obsession, imagination and some divine intervention. She doesn’t really plan a certain theme or look in creating her pieces and this particular habit of hers ultimately creating a set of collection that doesn’t really belong with one another, yet alluring your every sense to explore further. It’s a collection of statement necklaces that states nothing but mayhem & everything about mayhem.

In designing her pieces, her inspiration comes from Her own graphic design + Reinventions of Her unique personal interpretations over random stuff in her surroundings, both in real life and online + Her mood of the day, all stirred heavily for the sake of eclecticity. Her designs are in “One Of A Kind” concept, giving each piece an exclusive feel of limited quantity compensated by vast variety.

If she had to describe her work in one line, It’d be “GRUESOMELY GRAPHIC, HELPLESSLY HECTIC, AN EPIC ECLECTIC.”
