My name is Maryrose, I am 25 year-old, Fashion designer just graduated from Polimoda, based in Florence, Italy.
I like to observe reality and everything around me; I think the reality is mostly a series of illusion of the senses, is the personal way of feeling things, and during the creative process i let my self be carried away by my senses and my sensibility.To create becomes an unconventional act, it makes me free from the opinion of the others and from myself. It allows me to be ironic about reality and to find unknown places in my mind.

MY BODY IS A BATTLEGROUND

This collection was inspired by the first recorded trans person along with the psychic importance of the body and how an assertion of self can be attained through modifications of the body: something, however, that does not go hand in hand with the affirmation of the individual in society. It's a collection that reacts to social conventions with irony.
"Skin is the tissue to be lifted if we want to understand something about society"
The collection is based on deconstructed menswear garments that reproduce human skin and represent rebirth.
