Marta Branco was born in Lisbon, Portugal and studied Fashion Design at Lisbon Fashion Academy. After graduation in 2003, she began practicing in the Joao Rolo fashion design firm. After just three years, she achieved the status of Fashion Designer in women’s clothes, leading the market research department to help with development of strategies and positioning of the brand for upcoming seasons.
In 2004, she opened her fashion design office, starting what would become her own design brand – Marta Branco. In 2007, she opened her own shop in Lisbon, and began launching her own seasonal women’s clothing collections.In 2010, she moved her office and shop to one of the most exclusive and exquisite areas of Lisbon, Sao Bento. She continues to show her designs in Sao Bento today, leading a team, designing, overseeing production and representing her own collections.
Answering a market demand for her designs, Marta Branco is now selling in several studios in Portugal and internationally, growing her business to a different level commercially and conceptually. As a young fashion designer, Marta Branco is fast becoming one of the leading designers in Portugal.

This Marta Branco Inter 2012 collection offers pieces with a slight oriental inspirited forms and cuts, all within a language of fabrics and looks rather contemporary and very much owned by the fashion designer proper style
The striking colors used and the materials’ textures magic feel is another one of the highlights of these collections. With cottons, plastics, wool or even winter silks, this collection shows difference by the originality of the material combination, and the exquisite technique with which they are used. Back, grey, skin ad pale pink are the colors of this collection, being complemented by framboise, strong deep blue and acid orange on the most light and casual pieces.
