Mariona Puig is a fashion designer from Barcelona (Spain). She studied Arts and Design at "Escola Massana", specialized on Jewelry. She studied fashion design at FD Moda - LCI Barcelona and she won the second prize for the best collection, at TOP 20 Talent Show.
She loves working with leather and suede. She bet for an innovative design, working with different concept to create innovative fashion.
Her first fashion collection "FIFTYPERCENT" talks about imbalance and disequilibrium and she defined this concept on fashion cutting all garments in half and creating the left half 50% bigger than the right one. This concept is shown on her collection even in fabrics, seams and trimmings to create something different and innovative.

“Fifty percent” is about inequality and imbalance.

Everybody is different, there is no one like you in the world. My collection is critical to this, to why everything has to be the same for everyone.
Why don’t we turn it upside down and cut the thing in two halves, and regard them as completely independent and different? In an unequal world, unequal clothes.

To solve this issue I’ve decided to set a wardrobe out of the ordinary. I divided all my clothes in two halves, where the left side is 50% bigger than the right side.
