Marianne El-Khoury is a womenswear focused fashion designer of Finnish-Lebanese origin, based in Helsinki and Paris.

She has graduated from Aalto University Master’s programme of Fashion, Textile and Collection Design in 2019.

Her OWN works are characterised by bold use of colour, shape and playfulness, AND she aims to portray and spread a certain joie-de-vivre.

Ma-graduate collection

This collection is inspired by nostalgic sentiments and imaginations of a 1970's beirut. The collection represents a comfort seeking way of life and a hedonism: outgoing people wanting to show off, yet being easy and comfortable.

The silhouette is based on cocktail and evening wear staples, combined with details and materials from leisurewear. The collection has a strong focus on colour blocking, and the colour combinations are based on intuitive reflections of the inspiration and mood. In addition, the collection includes hand painted tye-dyes in both garments and tights.
