D APOSTROPHE is a fashion label created from the abbreviation of D’Agati, the surname of Marianna. Italian label but with a strong influence from England, resulting from the period that Marianna moved to Coventry,near Birmingham. D Apostrophe was born in England in 2016,with the debut in London of the collection “TRIANGOLO QUADRATO”, a sculptural collection about tridimensional garments. The concept of "Triangolo Quandrato" starts from the most contemporary african art: face-paintings, so geometrical black lines that are completed of spots of primary colors. From that, that kind of paintings are mixed with one of the most contemporary form of european arts: the tridimension. The final result and distinction of D Apostrophe are geometrical lines on garments developed in 3D. The style of the collection is a mix of Italian conception of Fashion like a form of art, and the English style full of different kind of fabrics.
“Black garments like black lines, like a sculptural illustration.” Triangolo quadrato is an avantgarde sculptural illusion of a big soft paint on the 3D face of an african person.
Marianna created her technical fashion part at the Academy of fine Arts in Bologna for two years, and for the third-one , she moved one year to Coventry University in England. The debut of her first collection was at the catwalk fashion show “Free Range” in London at the “Old Truman Brewery” in Brick Lane. From 2016 , her collection is inside the website of Vogue UK. She was graduated in February 2017, and then she moved to Amsterdam to do her internship in the atelier of Iris Van Herpen, where she worked for 8 months and she created most of her artistic and technical part.
