Galiza, the land where I grew up, has inspired me since my beginnings. The essence of my conceptual work comes from its collective imagination that resides in its inhabitants, its landscape and its cultural tradition.
In an identity as far from itself as Galician, what I most desire is to show the true beauty and sophistication of our gaze on the world. As a Galician artist I have always been in dialogue with family and neighbors because it is in the intimicy where the truly extraordinary things can be found. Thus, the tradition of basketmaking, the art of weaving or crochet mixed with modern techniques and the tradition of reuse / recycling.
In this way, I place all my feelings in each of my collections. A mixed of a Galician tradition, custom... with a personal experience, a part of myself. Thus, of this symbiosis, my collections born.
