Born and raised in North Cyprus, Zerrin Akıncı graduated from University of Greenwich in 2004. Having worked in Marketing Communications for two years, she moved to United States to study Fashion Design. Zerrin Akıncı launched her own fashion line in 2011 and showed her first collection in London Fashion Week. Zerrin has been awarded as ‘Outstanding Emerging Designer’ in Los Angeles in 2012 and presented her collection in Orange County Fashion Show. In 2015, she was honored as ‘Best Fashion Designer of the Year’ by Fashion TV in İstanbul.

The designer has always been acknowledged with her signature style in her designs. madebyZA style includes the edgy strong silhouettes with elegant interplays in one form. The timeless pieces are characterized with unexpected contrast details and combination of materials.
