Sahar Mactabi is a creative director and designer. She is the founder and head designer of an underground, exclusive, and experience design brand. She debuted her individual wearable design collection in 2019, Tehran.

Sahar Mactabi studied industrial design and was awarded a member of the national elite foundation while studying design 2008-2016, Iran. Her passion for art as a practical and critical tool to better understand the environment has led her to practice contemporary performance both nationally and internationally.

Through her master’s thesis, she investigated the possible ways to see changes caused by the decay process in a consumed product as the experimental design. Following that and years of experience in performance, she started working as a creative director who is now able to combine the anti-consumerism approach to design production; and creativities to everyday life. She finally co-established Tehran’s first concept store and focused on a better understanding of sustainable design and geopolitical effect on her career in a fashion studio (2016-2020). After that, she stood solo in Tehran with help of a great team at Mactabi studio. Mactabi is a human-to-human brand actives in designing wearable art for people of the new thought who love fashion for its creative inspiration and self-expression and dislike the rest of it!
Mactabi is highlighting similarities, differences, and relations of contemporary art and design by eliminating their boundaries or emphasizing them in particular by designing qualified, casual, and simple clothes to help one go forward and then pause.
