Tanya Liu is an emerging fashion designer whose creations express the language of clothing as wearable art. With a Bachelor of Fashion Design with Distinction from RMIT University, she is currently advancing her skills with a Master's in Fashion Womenswear at the Royal College of Art in London.

Her academic journey has deepened her understanding of the diversity and history of fashion design, yielding a scholarly depth enriched by a cross-cultural perspective and her distinct fashion aesthetic. Tanya is skilled in the foundational crafts of draping, sewing, and pattern printing, complemented by her proficiency in various design modelling software applications. She likes to tell stories with clothes based on exploring the relationship between natural biology and post-human science. When it comes to combining innovative technology with fashion design, she begins to focus on the combination of innovative fabrics and interactive virtual technology for design, to apply modelling with fabric into clothing, aiming to bridge the gap between digital and physical clothing while emphasizing sustainable fashion development. Her design titled 'Coral & Whale' gained attention in REBEL magazine, and between 2023 and 2024, her pieces have been featured on platforms like The VanillaIssue and 1Granary. Furthermore, a significant selection of her work has been exhibited on the Notjustalabel Platform.

Driven by her passion for storytelling through design and a dedication to innovative, sustainable fashion practices, Tanya Liu is set to leave her mark with her brand LXTANYA. She is actively constructing a future of fashion that’s envisioned in every piece she designs.
