Driven By futurism in the Fashion and architecture of the 1950s AND 1960S, luluyetha sought to recreate a new to understanding of 'future'. By deconstructing the elements that birthed futurism back then, she seeks to ESTABLISH neo-futurism that has environmental relevance while retaining the wondrous scope of the original movement. personally she believes that the secret to reconstrucing futurism lies particularly within the womenswear design of the 50s, as the styles spoke of a future that decade looked towards.

key values of the new future are EXPRESSIONISM, and individuality that sits alongside sophistication. this is brought into being through made-to-order pieces that use reclaimed fabrics and sustainable PRACTICES. that juxtapose the disposability that coloured 50s futurism while VISUALLY nodding towards architectural BRUTALISM and early 20th century modern art.
