Continuous experimentation through sampling, fabric testing, and explorative pattern cutting methods constitute my individual technical language.

Comprehensive research, collage and archetype garment analysis are the inception of design development and collectively are integral techniques for realisation of ideas, to achieve my definitive outcomes.

My work captures elements of understated personal references with a particularity and focus on functionality. Explored in differing ways through specific details, tactile fabrication, nuances of technical durability and the method of down feather construction to create form.
At the foundation of design is attention to sustainably considered material application.

A vision of protected proportions.

Utilising oversized silhouettes, filled forms and dimensional shape to amplify as a symbolic presence and essence of soft contemporary armour.
Rewriting the dialogue and definitive distinctions of protection: contrasting the central relationship of body with clothing. Creating a nuance of contextualised comfort through exterior form as an uncompromising subtle communicator to freely, honestly bare and embody self.

Elevating and revising traditional elements of structure seen in contrasting puffer, agricultural outerwear, and skiwear personal archetypes to specifically inform garment details. Conveying a considered balance of convention and subversion.

Expressing original and progressive ideas of form with the presence of function through reconsidered functional details and lightweight protective fabrication.

A tactile hybrid of comfort and layering - comparative distinctions of protection further informing sustainably considered material application, implementing deadstock fabric, down feather and British sheepskin.

Combining these ideals at an intersection to develop wear for today’s evolving environment.
