hi, My name is Liliana Vailati and I'm a 25 years old Fashion and Knitwear Designer.  I come from a very small town in Italy, it is called Caravaggio and here I have started my creative path studying fine arts and sculpture. Since I was a child, arts and especially drawings, have always been my great passions. For me it is like a sort of relief, my safe place and I believe that art could be a cure for the soul and actually, in everything I do, I try to include this feeling. After, i follow my studies in Fashion and knitwear Design, still remaining tied to the artistic field.

My personal production its characterise to the bound with artistic production and to the sense of the art and matter of materials in every pieces. I start my studies as artist and also the majority part of my friends are linked to this world. For these reasons for me is important to try to create something for them, something that speaks to this environment.
I try to express in the garments some relevant elements and values for the art world, or to creates clothes that are useful during the production of an art work, to use in an art studio, or to represents the identity of an artists or is work. The shape and the volume are another fundamental part of my research I want something that follow the shape of the body and let the person fell free in the garment.

STUDIO.VISIT

What is an art studio nowadays?What is the history of the studio and how is evolved during the years? These are the questions from wich start the project STUDIO.VISIT. The artist studio is one of the theme more study and rich of contrasts inside the art world. Starting from the history of the studio and the different shape of this. The duality of the space; like a holy place or a caotic environment in continuos mutation where the artist create. Every hide gesture present in the studio it’s evident in the pieces of fabric full of color, or in the dry color that remain stuck on the wall. These hiding details became one of most important inspiration for the collection, that want to give importance to the trace of memory that remain in the studio and to the act of the creation process. The collection presents also a series of garment and details that give movement and life to the garment, to rapresent the continuos change of this incredible creative environment.
