Born in Liverpool, England, Lee graduated from the BA Womenswear Design course at Central Saint Martins University in London. Lee was trained as a tailor in North England and has worked for many established brands including Marques/Almeida, Iris Van Herpen, Christian Dior Couture.
His work focuses on the current movement happening in today’s modern culture, reflecting on the most serious and sensitive subjects influenced by suicide, terrorism, religion and domestic abuse.
In his recent graduate collection, the clothing was heavily influenced by a close friend who was trapped in an abusive relationship and struggled to possess the courage to overcome her abuser. Lee looked to the artist Kevin Francis Gray as inspiration to develop a fabricated textile which was incorporated into clothing pieces which explored capturing a moment of physical harm and self protection to help raise awareness upon this subject matter.
Lee is now undergoing the 'MA Fashion Womenswear' course at the Royal College of Art, London.
