Lea Freni

As a multilingual apparel design student at Cornell University, Lea strives to learn about the industry from diverse cultural perspectives. This is an interest she has pursued through her studies and travels in India, China and Southeast Asia where she learned about apparel manufacturing first-hand and gained exposure to a variety of aesthetic viewpoints and textile traditions.

These experiences and visual influences are evident in her contemporary women’s wear designs. Derived from the intersection of order and enigma, Lea’s designs seek to initiate intrigue and invite close inspection. Clean, mathematical intricacy, precise detailing & coded imagery combine to construct a world of controlled refinement & hieroglyphic mystery.
