MeMyWork&I

The Men’s fashion label LE-WOO was founded in 2015. Behind the LE-WOO label is the designer Laura Woodtli. LE-WOO represents a wearable style by a “Quirk” of the future. My aim is to design clothing for modern people who wish to stand out from the crowd.First and foremost I want my designs to portray the constant evolution and variations in clothing. The mass production of today has nothing to do with personal attitudes and what clothing really means to the individual. I am of the opinion that that less is more.
LE-WOO represents a wearable style by a “Quirk” of the future. My aim is to design clothing for modern people who wish to stand out from the crowd.
First and foremost I want my designs to portray the constant evolution and variations in clothing. The mass production of today has nothing to do with personal attitudes and what clothing really means to the individual. I am of the opinion that that less is more.
My goal is not to follow the classical cycles of fashion. I do not design an entire collection. Instead my focus lies on the single item. I design series’ of garment pieces which can be differently forged together to form total Looks. My vision is to bring out garments that are appealing, acceptable and clearly stand out from the uniformity of the mass.
LE-WOO represents minimalistic design. The focus is on the essence of a garment. Exquisite attention to the cut, modern and appropriate fabric for each garment, consultation with clientele and especially fair conditions are the principles followed by LE-WOO.
Are you proud of who you have become? See your reflection in each LE-WOO garment. LE-WOO never stands still. Like society and Laura Woodtli herself it adapts. That`s why the pieces appear surprisingly new and fresh every season.

I completed an apprenticeship in General Garment Design with specialization in Women’s clothing (2006-2009). Thereafter I studied Fashion Design at the FHNW in Basel (2010-2014). Following various internships with Boycottlettes (Basel), Sofia Desing (Basel), Ute Ploier (Vienna) und Joop!Men (Kreuzlingen) I decided to found my own label, LE-WOO.
I reside and work in Basel, Switzerland.
