LAY SEDLAKOVA

„Outstanding Superfeminine Wear.“
That is the claim of label LAY , by fashion designer Lay Sedlakova.

She is a postmodern designer with vision and a sense of visual communication
between apparel product and customer. I am coming with an accurate sense of fashion in contemporary society, respect for craftsmanship and high interest in science
and new technologies at the department of apparel and clothing. Core of her brand became a trenchcoats, because of her aged passion into womens outerwear. All of her designs brings a common message, that is statement, self-confidence and premium quality of materials and high attention into details of processing.

She has been collecting her professional experiences as a designer of the established czech fashion brand Pietro FIlipi, where she started to work as a student of Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague. She worked as a designer of a separate women's collection, creating moodboards for current seasons, drawings and technical drawings, focusing on knitwear, correcting fittings and communicating with the production. After a short time, the starter also started creating a complete collection of jewelery.

After experiences from foreign internships and working for the company, she decided to build her own ready to wear brand. She also devoted herself to the couture hand embroidery design applied mainly in her own bridal and occasional wear sub-brand called LAY ATELIER.
