Lauriane L'Eplattenier

The genesis of her eponymous brand could almost have been born when she was still in kindergarten, as Lauriane started drawing and cutting into fabrics at the age of 8. Even if the profession of ‘Fashion Designer’ will not become evident until later on in her life, Lauriane always knew she would end up working in the wonderful world of creation.

She began to study Visual Art but soon realised her relationship with fabrics was much stronger. She then left to study Fashion Design at Marbella Design Academy. There, she discovered all aspects of the Fashion Designer's craft: from inspiration, to concept, to construction and finally to realisation. She draws her inspiration from art and architecture, two universes that she loves particularly. During her studies in Spain, she took part in different prestigious Fashion competitions where she was a finalist in some and won others such as the "Premio Jovenes diseñadores" at the Fashion Week in Málaga, Spain for two consecutive years.

She finished her studies with a Master's Degree in London, and yearned to practise her profession in her homeland, Switzerland. She launched her first collection in 2017. A signature collection that defined the Lauriane L'Eplattenier style: timeless pieces, pure but architectural cuts with limited production in order to guarantee exclusivity to her clients. Today, her ethic pushes her towards a slow fashion approach: in the future, she wishes to use more recycled fabrics in her future collections.

OUR VISION
We want to make consumers aware of the need to change the fashion industry. To promote Swiss or European sustainable brands or designers for their value, ethics and the quality of their clothes. This is why, instead of mass-produced collections, the brand has decided to produce each collection in limited quantities with respect to the environment, with good working standards, fair wages and slow fashion.

SLOW FASHION
Our brand has this desire to go back to basics, reduce production to limited quantities, ensure quality manufacturing without excessive exploitation and maintain a fair price.

ETHICS
All our collections are exclusively made in Poland to ensure good labour standards and fair wages for people working in the fashion industry.

SWISS DESIGN
Each garment is designed and developed in Switzerland to ensure the quality and reliability of the products meet the needs of women today.

ECOLOGY
We incorporate fabrics made entirely from recycled plastic recovered from the ocean. In the future, we are working towards using eco and environmentally friendly fabrics in all our clothes.

LIMITED EDITION
Each collection is produced in limited editions to guarantee exclusivity to our customers and to allow us to offer you the highest quality of ethical and ecological products.
