Larissa grew up in Germany, studied Fine Art at Central St Martins and has been living and working in London ever since. She worked for Fashion Magazine Intersection before launching her own label in 2010. Her work is all about playfulness and pure delight ––turning sculptures into wearable objects. Larissa's bags are about quality, elegance and humor, using a 3D pattern making technique combines with suede and exotic leathers, creating collections around Diamond shaped bags to Creatures from the Deep Sea and African Masquerades.
She lists influences such as Bless and Fischli & Weiss, but she’s defiantly on her own track.

Masquerade Collection

LARISSA HADJIO’s new collection takes inspiration from the disguise of African Masquerades – powerful, wild and beautiful - and the art of transformation. Wear a ritual mask, and you shape-shift into a completely new identity; becoming for a time, beast, king or goddess. With its combination of raw expression and studied craftsmanship, Larissa found herself instinctively drawn to the masquerade culture of Nigeria and Burkina Faso. Her collection is a bold new take on masquerade, exotic and reﬁned in equal measure. It features eight different styles – Maysie, Mini Mask, Emerald, Seo, Awl and Zezak – all with utility in mind - handbag, Work + play bag, tote, clutch
and holdall. The abstract has become truly functional, with a new balance and
luxury to each and every piece.

The Masquerade Collection has been created in snakeskin, the softest lambs leathers,
suede mixed with teak and coconut wood.

The hallmark Larissa Hadjio style of intricate three dimensional pattern cutting, gives the
collection a degree of structural detail normally found only in sculpture and
architecture - perfectly weighted, striking and stand out.
