Sorn Nonn has always had the innate desire for creating beautiful things. Her early accolades have given her the confidence and served as a propeller
for turning creativity into a career.

Sorn is first-generation American. Her Cambodian family emigrated to the US in the early 1980's. She was born in Thailand and raised in Philadelphia. Her professional education was sharpened at College of Art and Design where she earned her BFA in Fashion Design and minor in Textiles.

With the knowledge and support of her school, Sorn pursued her career as a Fashion Designer. She has worked at notable design companies in New York
City and Los Angeles, where she currently resides.

In summer of 2015 Sorn witnessed a lack of accessories that married design and function with the versatility to be gendernuetral. She later Launched Laphiny
in 2016, an accessory brand that combine the desire for practicality with a sleek universal aesthetic
