Kristel Laurits is a Copenhagen based Visual & Textile Designer who graduated with her MA degree from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2016. She completed her BA degree at the Estonian Academy of Arts, Tallinn (EST) in 2011 and between the studies has worked as Graphic Designer and Freelancer at various design brands in Tallinn and Copenhagen. Kristel is mainly interested in design that levitates people through the use of colours and graphics and above all- has respect to everyone. Colour brings joy!

BACK TO BASICS

BACK TO BASICS is a collection of womenswear dedicated to line- straight, curvy, funky, wavy, shiny and so on, but hand drawn. Each item is produced on custom order that draws attention and a distinct line between the artistic approach and mass-production. Every garment in the collection is unique in the sense that the print is
first painted with ink and watercolour and thereafter silkscreen printed. The collection was presented in ERKI fashion show in Electric railway depot.
