K.Paluch Wooden Bags

K.Paluch it’s a name of a polish brand that creates a bags made of …wood.
There is only one man standing behind that name – Krzysztof Paluch. From the ideas, first designs, till the final look- he creates original and practical creations of art. Like a sculptors, that you can take with yourself. Wherever you are they can be also an interesting part of every decor.

Krzysztof Paluch derives from carpentry family. Even though tradition was cultivated from grandgrandfather till father it wasn’t so obvious that it will last longer. First he had chosen woodcarving in the High School of Fine Arts in Rzeszów, then he finished Facualty of Art in Rzeszów University in painting field. He is an artist, who paints, sculpts, creates theatric and stage scenography.
You can find his paintings in legendary ‘Burger Lucious’ restaurant in the centre of Copenhagen, sculptors in the ‘Mondi Holiday Bellevue’ Hotel in Bad Gastein in Austria or see many scenography sets for polish theatres. He was also a finalist of Taiwan International Wood Sculpture Competition in 2015.
Thanks to all those abilities and experiences he makes unusual works. However he feels that without his first carpentry experience - he wouldn’t be where he is right now. His passion for wood started to grow then and never left him.

Somewhere between High School and University studies he started to creates unusual wooden boxes where you can hide your secrets. The only problem with them was: you couldn’t take it with yourself. This is how the first wooden bag was made.
It was a combination of everything he esteemed: inventing , constructing, woodcarving and finally fashion designing.
Every bag he makes, breaks away from stereotyped shape of wood. He plays with its form but listens to it very carefully. He uses only his hands that makes it 100% handmade product. He cannot imagine he is not responsible for every part.
