‘Subrealism’ is the name I gave my project that keeps exploring the in-between - dialectical coexistence of the simulated reality and the material world. THE PROJECT STARTS FROM THE MOVIE "THE MATRIX" AND ITS ICONIC "THERE IS NO SPOON" SENTENCE AS A PHILOSOPHICAL SPRINGBOARD: THE SENSES AROUND US ARE UNTRUSTWORTHY SO WE HAVE TO LET GO OF THE LOGICAL PRESUMPTIONS OF WHAT CONSTITUTES REALITY. Launching a meaningless improvisation at the boundary of existence is the major task for proving authenticity of the human spirit. When aiming to isolate substances temporarily from the purpose of behaviour, mashing up with human body, in addition, crushing into the space, then things will be found as new opportunities and appreciations for existing.
Fusing the beauty of jewellery to daily routine is the thing I am interested in and what I have been doing. My aim is to push the boundaries between art and fashion, objects and accessories, and the behavioural difference of “wearing” and “living”. Compared with the word "design", I prefer the “undesign” process of "discovering and enlarging". If jewellery is placed in the general environment, I think it should be like a long flow of water and blend with the environment.
