Inspired by African tribes, particularly photographers Mario Gerth & Hans Silvester who travelled with and documented the lives of tribes.

The collection was all about capturing the energy and spirit of the community, taking inspiration from how they used their bodies as a canvas for decoration. Their body paint was very free and spontaneous which inspired my hand drawn, digitally rendered prints onto stretch tulle to create a tattoo skin effect when worn. The collection also included a lot of knotting and draping, experimenting with how fabrics react when knotted and how this can be used to wear clothes in interesting ways.

I collaborated with a Maasai woman, Rahab Kenana, from Kenya to produce the beaded jewellery pieces, bringing the clothes to life adding new dimensions, textures and colours to the collection.
